*Bone Broth* is incredibly mineral-rich and nourishing due in large part to the gelatin you will get out of it from the long-cooked bones. There is a large amount of research on the beneficial effects of gelatin. • It aids digestion and can be used successfully to treat a myriad of intestinal disorders like colitis & Crohn’s. • It is useful in many chronic disorders like anemia and diabetes. • It’s a wonderful aide in illness recovery and post partum care. • It can even help prevent and mitigate infectious diseases.

This weekend we had chicken tacos and I used the carcass to make a chicken bone broth. I like using mostly aromatics with it so it doesn’t come out too sweet - fennel, ginger, garlic, peppercorns. It’s perfect in a mug for afternoon pick-me-ups, for soups, sauces or try it as a cleansing breakfast/lunch with steamed veggies inside.
