Food Therapy: Constipation

Nuts. Figs. Aloe. Honey. A beautiful spread to help you along when you are feeling temporarily… blocked. :)

In all seriousness, good elimination is essential for your overall health. There is no need to spend extra money on prescription medication for constipation until you have at least tried some of these simple and natural measures. A handful of nuts or seeds, a couple figs, prunes, or dates several times in a day, a tablespoon of aloe vera gel (diluted in a little juice due to the super sour taste is probably best), or a spoonful of honey straight. Notable mentions also include: definitely exercise, abdominal massage along the large intestine, plain probiotic yogurt, more H2O, and for more serious bouts there is always 2 tsp of castor oil in some ginger tea. That should do it!

These home remedies have helped countless people stay regular and avoid the discomforts of not being able to “go”. We want you to go! Go all the way!
