I’ve found a new friend named Fond. I’ve been buying @fondbonebroth at Wheatsville Food Co-op lately and not only does it make life super easy - all the flavors they make are really wonderful. It tastes way better than when I make my one bone broth! Not sure what their secret is 🤔. These two are my current favorites - Trolley Dodger & The Spur. When I’m feeling depleted or run down- I make a small bowl of simmered veggies in bone broth for breakfast or snack daily during the week to build up my mineral and nutrient reserves. The kids love this simple “soup” too so it’s a win/win. I’m trying to go through October with bone broth every day to see how I feel and Fond, in all it’s gelatinous goodness, is helping with this process immensely! No time to buy the chicken feet? Buy Fond instead. Wanted to give them a shout-out, it’s a great product & I’ll be recommending this brand in food and herbal consults tout de suite👌.

A medicine kitchen doesn’t have to be extensive, fancy, or complicated. Some bulk herbs, fresh ginger, turmeric & garlic, some good raw honey, apple cider vinegar, a few superfoods to alternate here and there. There are many expensive & trendy products out there that could make really useful additions to your pantry, but they are nothing compared to simply making sure the foods you buy and cook with on a daily basis are nourishing and health-promoting instead of health-sabotaging. Nothing in this picture costs more than $10. Start with some basics and build as your life allows. ❤️.

What’s for dinner? Asian Salmon with Bok Choy & Hei Zhi Ma - aka Black Sesame seed! Hei Zhi Ma is a legit Chinese herb we use for deficiency/depletion especially relating to the Liver and Kidneys. It’s very nourishing to the blood and YIN 🌑parts of our body. Personally, I got majorly depleted & lost a ton of hair after both my pregnancies - using herbs like this (among many other things) is a little daily ritual for me to cultivate more yin in my life. ❤
