Step 1 to settling into a new house: Energetic &
Space Clearing Ritual. These are so personal - mine includes lighting a flame, burning a USDA organic/sustainable sage smudge stick, this one lovingly gifted by the dear @ritualsaustin - while singing (yes, that’s right) positive intentions and words throughout the house in every room. Sage is said to ‘wash off’ the outside world when used in ceremony. For me this sets up the intention of how we want our home to feel and what we want to call into our personal space. Love. Peace. Harmony. Laughter. Communication. Intimacy. Openness. Abundance. Health. Happiness. I ring my Tibetan bells in every room for sound clearing and finally burn palo santo in each room. Then I open all the windows and let the air circulate, bringing new movement & Qi into the house. I say a short prayer of gratitude and intention and blow out my candle. So now you probably think I’m a total new age nut - but I’ve done a space clearing for every house I’ve ever lived in - this one being the most important to our family yet. •Warrior Wellness Paste• Back to school time means it’s time to make a couple things - this is one I always go to for an immune fortifying boost to ward off cold/flus and any other bugs that will start going around soon. I call it my Warrior Wellness paste as you have to be a little fearless to take it straight - but you can also easily dilute it in hot water and drink as a tea up to 2x day when you feel any first sign of illness come on - especially sore throats. Manuka Honey is a powerful anti-microbial / anti-bacterial / anti-viral with bio-active hydrogen peroxide. Any Manuka honey active factor of 10+ or higher will be best for fighting active pathogens. This is a super simple mix you can throw together in 3 minutes! It’s a staple in my house during the Fall and Winter seasons & it’s very effective. See my story for more pics ✨.

2 very large or 4 small garlic cloves, mashed or minced / 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger / 1 tsp Turmeric powder / 2 grinds of the black pepper grinder/ 2 tbsp manuka honey. Mix all together and use 2 tsp diluted in hot water as a tea, up to 2x day. Or take a few deep breaths and swallow 1 tsp straight as needed. That’s how I do it! ☺️

Yin & Yang are not just opposites, they are polar complements that create, control and transform into each other in a dynamic unfolding. In early Chinese naturalist thought - this logic of Yin and Yang explained relationships, patterns, and change. Nothing embodies this concept more for me & expresses the beauty of cyclical patterns more than the eclipse this week.
